Booking Arrangements

Advance booking is essential particularly for weekends, bank holidays and during the peak season. At time of booking full contact details will be required and a deposit payment or full payment may be required.

If you require more than one pitch/unit then please search for availability and make bookings for ONE PITCH/UNIT AT A TIME, this is a maximum of six persons on a tent/campervan pitch, and either two, four or five persons in our Glamping accommodation.

Sorry but no group bookings of more than three pitches/units. No Hen or Stag parties. In case you had not already gathered, The Hideaway is not that kind of a place! We have a strict noise to an absolute minimum after 10pm policy and a no music (unless through headphones) at any time policy so, if you want to stay up late partying - this is NOT the site for you!

For further useful information on the site and Frequently asked Questions please click here.

Please Note - Check-in is only permitted from 2pm for Touring pitches and 4pm for Glamping accommodations. You will NOT be able to check-in before this time. Check-out is by 10am for glamping and by 11am for camping on your departure day. Charges will be incurred for late departures.

Touring Booking

We have 32 touring pitches for tents and Campervans, all level grass standing and some with electric hook-up.

Minimum Stays – we have a minimum booking of 2 nights for all Bank Holiday Weekends.

A pitch is for a Campervan or a tent and includes 2 people, a campfire pit and hot water showers.

Parties over 6 persons will need to reserve 2 pitches.

Ecopod Booking

We have two Double Ecopods (sleeps 2) and one Family Ecopod (sleeps 2+2).
Unlike most ‘Pods’ ours have proper beds in them and mattresses! The Doubles have a double bed for two whereas the Family Ecopod have a double bed, a bunk bed and a single bed for the kids.

There is no electricity in the Ecopods because that just wouldn’t be ‘eco-glamping, with soul’ now would it! There are lanterns for T-lights though so you can sit outside and gaze at the stars...

You will need to bring your own bedding (sheet, duvet/sleeping bag and pillows) and perhaps some chairs for sitting around the campfire and toasting some marshmallows...

Campfire cooking only, there’s no cooking facilities inside so bring a camping stove with you so you don’t have to crank up the fire in the morning for that bacon sarnie!

Each Ecopod has its own fire-pit.

A maximum of one dog is welcome in one of our double Ecopods.

Hoglet House Booking (March to November only)

If you fancy something a little MORE luxurious then come and check-in to “Hogletton@The Hideaway”!

With a double bed plus two single beds (one a bunk) in our Hoglet Houses, USB sockets for lighting and phone charging, plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs, glasses, BBQ tools, portable single gas stove, kettle, and cushions and throws... not to mention a comfy sofa by the log-burner inside and, outside - your own up-cycled outdoor furniture and private fire-pit!

We suggest bringing a frying pan or two (no pans provided) should you want to cook on the fire-pit. You can however hire a tripod and grill from the shop! Or, for a night off cooking, head over to the Pizza Shack for a delicious authentic made to order stone-baked pizza and other culinary delights from Matt! Matt is also open for breakfasts most mornings, (not pizza though!). More details such as menus and opening times can be found on our website under "Extras" in the main menu.

You will need to bring your own bedding, (none supplied). It is lovely having your own pillow you’ve got to admit! It can get a little cool during the night (even in mid-summer) so bring a nice warm duvet and/or sleeping bag-or both! Or purchase some "Burn all night" briquettes from the on-site shop to keep that log-burner (and you!) slumbering away and toasty all night!

Other items you will need to bring yourselves include; extra lighting and torches for around the site as there is minimal lighting and, perhaps a gazebo to shelter in from the (rain!) sun.

N.B. Our Hoglet Houses have USB lights/sockets only, there is no mains (240v) electricity supply. We have a no music (unless using headphones) policy at Baxby Manor. Please don't spoil it for others by bringing your bluetooth speaker!

Each Hoglet House also has its own fire-pit.

We have 1 Hoglet house which is pet friendly. The rest are pet free.
